
Russian military deliberately attacks civilians in Kherson region, says UN report
The independent international commission of inquiry into violations in Ukraine under the UN Human Rights Council has published a report. It documents systematic attacks by Russian drones on civilians in the Kherson region. It also records strikes on ambulances and critical infrastructure. The Russian military is publicly distributing videos of such attacks and messages with explicit threats to civilians for moving in areas called «red zones».

The former deputy head of the Kherson occupation administration, detained by Ukrainian law enforcement officers, turned out to be a pensioner of the Security Service of Ukraine. He sued and continues to sue the Pension Fund of Ukraine regarding the recalculation and payment of pensions. By a decision of the Central District Court of Mykolaiv, he was sent to prison until December 19, 2024. Earlier, the Central Journalist Center wrote that 63-year-old Serhiy Rybachok, former deputy head of the Kherson occupation administration, and a former employee of the Security Service of Ukraine, was detained, but this information turned out to be erroneous.
The Center for Investigative Journalism found out that this is 60-year-old Dmytro Tryhub, who turned out to be a friend and business partner of collaborator Serhiy Rybachok.

The report also states that prosecutors proved that in 2021 the man signed a contract to serve in the Russian armed forces. After the full-scale invasion of Russia, he entered the mainland territory of Ukraine as part of the army of the occupying power.
